In times such as this, many of us start to notice that we take an awful lot for granted. From little things such as walking to the corner shop and having a chat with the store worker, to the bigger things such as going on holidays… But when all of that is taken away or is somewhat restricted, we start to feel much more grateful towards life.
I am grateful for all of my friends and family. I am lucky to have each and every one of them in my life and I miss our random days out and visits.
I am grateful for all for restaurants and fast food chains! I miss being able to go out for a meal with loved ones or going on a spontaneous late night drive to McDonalds drive though!
I am grateful for Netflix, Disney Plus and other streaming services for keeping me busy on my day’s off and providing entertainment of an evening.
I am grateful for social media, helping us to stay connected with one another during these uncertain times.
I am grateful for having a roof over my head and a back garden to enjoy! I would go crazy if I wasn’t able to sit outside during this beautiful weather that we are having.
I am grateful for Google Hangouts, enabling me to video call my best friend!
The are many things that I am grateful for, many things that I have taken for granted in the past, this post could go on forever. It is so important to take a moment to sit and appreciate the people and the things that we have in our lives as we do often take them for granted and we do not realise how important they are until they are gone.
We asked our followers on social media what they are grateful for… here are some of their answers:
- Their children
- Tea and coffee
- Team meetings with the SeeTheUniverse Admin team! (Molly-Jane)
- The Sunshine
- New opportunities
- Life and the people we have in it
Some really lovely replies to this question! Life can be difficult at times, but it is what we make it. So let’s take some time to reflect on the positive things that we are surrounded by and make the most of the life that we have been given.
What are you grateful for?
