What is Meditation?

According to headspace, meditation is a way of training our brains to get a healthy sense of perspective. Contrary to belief, it is not just turning off your thoughts or feelings, you are learning to observe them without judging them.

A popular method of meditation is mindfulness.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is about knowing what is going on inside of our own minds and bodies minute by minute. It is about reconnecting to ourselves and the sensations that we experience. Being more aware of our day to day lives and taking in, and appreciating our surroundings.

When you’re a kid, you lay in the grass and watch the clouds going over, and you don’t have a thought in your mind. It’s purely meditation and we lost that.
