For Jacob’s birthday this year, I decided to book us a three night stay at The Hilton in Liverpool.
The hotel room was really lovely! We had a huge king-sized bed which was incredibly comfy, and a lovely big armchair with a matching foot-stool (which was my favourite area of the room as it was so cosy!)
On the Thursday night, Jake picked a restaurant for us to go to for tea before we headed to the cinema to watch Black Widow!
The restaurant he picked was Wagamama’s, I was a little unsure at first; but I went with it as after all, it was Jake’s birthday weekend.
And I have to say, I was so happy that I did not talk him out of it as it was one of the best meals that I have ever eaten. We chose the chilli squid to start; which we shared between us. It was delicious! I had the Katsu Curry for my main and it was beyond filling; Jake had the Chilli Steak Ramen and the steak was cooked to perfection!
After we had eaten, we went to watch the movie. We have watched all of the Marvel movies together, so of course this was no exception. As always, the movie was amazing and definitely worth the watch.
The next day, we went out for Breakfast and did a little bit of shopping before meeting friends at Wetherspoons for tea and hitting the town for a fun filled night out! It had been way too long since our last night out without having covid-restrictions in place. It felt good to be able to sing and dance the night away. It is safe to say I had more than I initially thought I would and the hangover hit hard the next morning!
This meant that I had to head to my tattoo appointment with a raging hangover… but it was definitely worth it.
On the Saturday, Anthony and Bella met us at the hotel and we headed to The Baltic Markets for a cocktail before having a Nando’s for tea and booking a pool table at Roxy’s for the evening.
Another fun filled night with good people!
Before we knew it, Sunday had arrived and it was time to head home. We had such an amazing time in Liverpool; but the fun did not end there!
We booked Go-Ape in Delamere for the afternoon, with Anthony, Bella, Anthony and Bekka; which took us around 3 hours and not only made us laugh until we cried, but also gave us a full body workout too!
After this we all headed back to our house for a takeaway and some games. A lovely end to an amazing weekend.
