They Both Die in the End by Adam Silvera – A Review

Wow. This book really surprised me.
I went through so many emotions whilst reading this story… happiness, sadness, anger, love, hope, hurt, shocked… you name it, I felt it!

The concept of this book is rather strange!
There is a company, known as Death Cast, who call people and inform them that at some point over the next 24-hours, they will die.
This is all the information that Death Cast can provide, there is no definitive time of death and no cause of death given to the people on the other end of this message… just simply ‘today is your last day, so go out and live.’

When two teenage boys receive the dreaded call, they do not know who to turn to or how to handle this news… so in their time of need, they both turn to the ‘Last Friend’ App, this is how the two of them connect to one another and they decide to meet up and spend their last day together.

These two boys have polar opposite personalities, very different upbringings and different views on life, which makes for a rather interesting last day!

This has to be my favourite book of the year so far, I was hooked from the very first page and I fell in love with the main characters very quickly… which is a problem given the title of the book!
I highly recommend people to add this book to their TBR shelves, you will not regret it!

I look forward to reading the prequel to this book as well as other pieces of work by this wonderful author.

I rated this book 5*
