Usually, if I see that a book contains time travel, I tend to place it back on the shelf as it has never been a topic that peaks my interest. So when this book was initially presented to me via an online book club that I am in, I was not sure if I was going to enjoy it.
At first I thought the main character was going to re-live the same day over and over again until she was able to find a way to change the outcome… but I was very wrong!
This book had all of my attention from the very first chapter.
It was so gripping that I simply could not put it down!
It starts with the main character witnessing her teenage son committing murder, leaving her confused and hurt and not knowing where she went wrong in bringing him up.
But when she wakes the following morning and discovers that she has travelled back in time, she realises that she may have a chance to make a change and save a life.
However, there is much more to uncover than she ever deemed possible. Where there are hidden connections buried deep in her past and people are not quite what they seem, will she be able to find the truth and stop the awful events from taking place? Or is it too late for her and her family?
I absolutely loved this book.
It was full of twists and turns that I truly did not see coming and it was so jam packed with information and clues that it was impossible to put down.
This was the first book that I have read by Gillian McAllister and it certainly will not be the last!
5* Read from me!
