I read this debut novel by Katy Brent last year and I was instantly hooked!
Katy’s writing style is so captivating. This novel is written in first person, and it was so interesting to be inside the mind of a killer… watching how her very first kill unleased something inside of her, leading to more and more…
It is a strange feeling to fall in love with a serial killer, but there is something about Kitty that just makes her so lovable, yet so chaotic. Her reasoning behind her kills are mostly justified, which I think helps her to be so likable. It is so modern and relatable (other than the murderous tendencies), which makes the book a very easy read.
A book full of chaos, drama, friendship, love and murder… what more could you want?
The best part… Katy Brent has written a follow-up to Kitty’s story and this will be published on the 30th January 2025! However, I have been lucky enough to have been approved for an advanced copy – So I will be reading this book this month! Be on the look out for a review.
