Becoming Mrs Flynn

It has been a little quiet here at SeeTheUniverse lately… that is because I have been super busy planning our wedding and Saturday was the big day!

Me and Gemma stayed up until 2am putting together the favours and decorating the wedding venue…I was surprisingly very calm! Before I knew it, I was waking up on my wedding day; everyone was rushing around and doing last minute venue touches, we all sipped Prosecco and sang to cheesy songs at the top of our lungs whilst getting prepped and pampered.

I had the most perfect, unplanned, Grey’s Anatomy moment (those who know me will know how obsessed I am with this show!) – Where Does the Good Go came on over the speaker and me and the girls were dancing it out… just as the bar staff came in carrying a tray of Tequila Slammers! It was perfection.

The morning flew by in what felt like 3 seconds and before I knew it, I was stood outside of the ceremony room waiting to walk down the isle; a moment I have dreamt of for many years.
I had been so calm right up until this moment and I was suddenly hit with a wave of emotion… I was about to marry the most incredible man!

As soon as I turned into the room and stood at the top of the isle, clocking eyes with my fiancé, I instantly felt calm again and I knew that this was going to be the best moment of our lives.

The ceremony went so smoothly but it also feels like a bit of a blur!
After the ceremony we took some time to ourselves and exchanged private vows, which was very emotional and there were lots of tears from both of us, it was the most treasured moment of the day for me.

The reception was incredible, with amazing food and some very heartfelt speeches from our loved ones and of course a quick roast of the groom from his brother before we hit the dance floor and danced the night away.

We had some incredible vendors with us for the evening, including a poker table, an artist drawing adorable cartoon pictures for our guests, a photo mirror and an insanely talented musician who played piano during the meal and saxophone during the after party! We made the most precious memories, our families and friends blended together and had an absolute ball and we could not have wished for anything more.

Now to make memories as Mr & Mrs Flynn!
Off on our honeymoon we go!
