Aimee Flynn
Hi everyone! I am Aimee, 28 from Liverpool, UK. I started this blog back when I was in universtiy, as I became more and more aware of the lack of support there was for those who are struggling with their mental health.
I was hoping that SeeTheUniverse would provide a safe space for people to seek help and support as well as serving as an educational platform in order to raise awareness around mental health. Now, I know this blog has been very quiet lately… this has been due to a mixture of things including, getting married, buying a puppy, buying a house… and also my own mental health! As you can imagine, while these things listed above are all positive and fun experiences; doing them all in the space of 8 months is VERY stressful! But I finally have the keys to my new house and things are beginning to settle down… SO WE ARE BACK!
MJ McDonough
Howdy – my name is MJ! I’m 29, and I tend to do a lot of the behind the scenes stuff for SeeTheUniverse.
I (probably) have some form of undiagnosed neurodivergence, my favourite colour is pink, and I love the Legend of Zelda and Resident Evil games.
The Future of SeeTheUniverse (STU)
We are aiming to revamp STU starting this month!
Here is what you can expect:
- Mental Health Mondays are back! For the time being these will be dedicated to new Fact Files until we have rebuilt this portion of the blog. They will then shift to other mental health based topics and discussions; so be on the look out for interactive stories on our socials!
- Read Wednesdays – This is a new feature on the blog and will consist of bookish content such as reviews, recommendations, book hauls and more. Don’t forget to follow our separate bookstagram account for more: ReadTheUniverse_
- Friday/Saturday/Sunday – There will be random posts published on one (or more) of these days each week. These may be related to other awareness days or they may be personal life updates or reviews on places we have been or movies we have seen or absolutely anything else; including guest posts!
If you would like to submit a guest post, please email: Submissions@seetheuniverse.co.uk
